This is a collaboration between laptop wunderkind Christian Fennesz & Veteran musician Ryuichi Sakamoto. It’s beautiful & ambient with a slight edge. Recommended for thinking or painting.

Angels of Light – We Are Him

I Have not followed Michael Gira’s musical career, although I have heard his music in the past with the Swans and have been intrigued with his persona and even packaging/artwork for his music. When this album turned on I was hit hard & very impressed. Beforehand I was also impressed & informed with the review in Wire Magazine #282 from August 2007. The album reminds me of early Nick Cave. It’s serious & mature. If music can conjure an image, I picture a sledgehammer swinging & pounding on a beautiful day in the hot sun.
